The Lackey Family is Home!

Alliance Area Habitat for Humanity dedicated their 49th house on Sunday, July 29th to Nathan and Crystal Lackey.

Board members, volunteers, neighbors, friends, and family gathered at the First Church of God for the celebration that featured a home blessing by Pastor Raymont Johnson, and a key ceremony during which the family received a symbolic Habitat for Humanity key from John McIntosh, the affiliate’s family liaison who helped the Lackey’s through the build process.

Director, Niki McIlvain, thanked the more than 240 volunteers who helped throughout the build season. “Our volunteers are the backbone of this organization, and today would not have been possible without your help and your commitment to our mission.”

The ceremony was followed by an open house of the Washington Street residence where everyone had the opportunity to view the finished project. AAHFH will be breaking ground on their 50th home in April, 2019.
